The Gulliver’s Bus
What’s the bus?
The Gully Bus is a school bus just for dogs! With door to door routes covering Chittenden County, your dog can take the bus when they need a play day or a sleep over! Dogs ride in secure crates on the bus for their safety.
When can my dog ride the bus?
The bus runs Monday through Friday. The morning route runs from approximately 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the evening route is approximately 3:o0 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The route varies daily; timing depends on traffic, driving conditions, and the location/destination of all passengers.
What does the bus cost?
Your dog can ride one way for $6, or round trip for $12. This is in addition to your dogs daycare or boarding fee. You may purchase a prepaid Bus Pass for $60, and receive 11 rides for the price of 10!
First time riding the bus and coming to Gulliver’s?
If you dog hasn’t visited us before, we will need you to fill out our New Dog Intake Sheet and our Bus Information Sheet. We will also need to verify that your dog is up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza vaccinations. After the paperwork is done your pup is free to ride the bus. If you are not able to get to Gulliver’s to fill out the paperwork, you must be at home the first time the dog is picked up, so the necessary forms can be completed.
Current Gulliver’s dogs riding the bus for the first time
Just stop by Gulliver’s and fill out a Bus Information Sheet or call us and let us know where and how to drop off and/or pick up your pooch!
How do I sign my dog up for the bus?
Just make sure to call us before 7 a.m. for a morning pickup or 3 p.m. for a evening drop off. If you like we can put you on a repeating schedule so the dog rides the bus the same day(s) every week.
What if I’m not home when the bus comes to pick up or drop off my dog?
No problem! You may arrange to leave a key with us, or another arrangement to allow us access to drop off or pick up your dog.
If the weather causes the roads to be unsafe for bus travel, the bus route may be canceled or we may not be able to access certain locations. In these circumstances we will notify parents as soon as possible.
